My name is Christine and here I will tell you a little bit about myself and how Brazenbull bullterriers got started.
We live in Hyvinkää, a city located in the southern of Finland. We have a family of four; me, my husband and our two children plus 3 bullterriers living in a detached house with a big yard our dogs love to goof around.
My experience with dogs starts from my childhood. We have always had dogs in our family; salukis, afghan hounds and briards, and my mother went to a lot of dogshows , and I was always there with her. There I came across with a bullterrier and it was love at first sight. I started to search more information about the breed, and the connection to the breed started to grow.
When I was a teenager I finally got my first dog, and that was Sunny, a miniature bullterrier. She was everything I thought she would be and more. Few years later I got my second miniature bullterrier Hugo. The stubborness, energy and temperament off a bullterrier really showed trough and have to say they teached me a lot more about the breed again. That only made the feeling stronger that this is the breed for me. Still I always dreamed of having a standard bullterrier.
After years of searching I finally found the dogs, the lines and the breeders I wanted a puppy from, a couple years later we picked her up, our Saga, from Amy and Phil Jaspers, the breeders behind Notorious bullterriers. It was a long way to USA, but 100% worth it! Saga has now had two litters, and set a solid foundation that I can work my breeding program from and I can not wait to see what the future will bring us!
Our dogs are a part of our family and Saga was no exception. One year after Saga came to us our daughter was born, and the girls have been inseperable. Since then our family has grown by a baby boy and two bullterriers( Pipa and Malla). Bullterriers are great family dogs and super gentle with little children. All my dogs have been around little children and other dogs and they work well together, Still as I say this, it is important to remember that every dog is an individual and takes a lot of work and consistency.
I got my official kennel name approved 2022, I am a member of the Finnish Kennel Club, Finnish Bullterrier club, Finnish terrier club. You can follow us also on instagram; @brazenbullterriers
